I love my M&M red cookie jar, all of the M&M characters are cute, but I like the red the best. He is one of my favorites, but I have a lot of favorite jars to pick from.
I love to eat M&M’s and it’s always been one of my go to candies, my sister keeps a secret sweets drawer that is usually filled with M&M’s too – I like peanut or plain. When M and M started making character cookie jars I knew I wanted one. Red is in a sitting position with a big M on his chest and he is waving his hand above his head.
The ceramic jar was made circa 1999 by the Benjamin & Medwin company. It stands about 9.5 inches tall and is manufacturers #C748. The box has the words “I’m BAAD” written on it, because remember red is the one with the snarky personality. The bottom of the cookie jar is marked with the words M&M’s, M, and the M&M’s Characters are Trademark of Mars, Inc. 1999 Benjamin & Medwin, Inc. Made in China.
This Orange guy is a monkey cookie jar from Target. At least I think he is a monkey, your guess is as good as mine. He was a present from my daughter. He looks like a monkey with a tail and has a funny bit of hair sticking up on his head.
I like his big blue eyes and the little white nose and smile. Also has some blue spots on the body as details. It doesn’t matter what type of animal he is because I like him, he is funny and my daughter got him for me. He says “Target Home” made in china 2009 – hand wash only. But I assume most cookie jars are hand wash only.
Whether you are a cow collector or a cookie jar collector, no collection would be complete without a cow cookie jar! Cows are kindhearted creates, they come in various colors in the wild, white, black, brown, yellow, red, and of course the elusive purple cow =) …
With his truck pointed in the air and his cute face and circus hat, who wouldn’t love this blue elephant cookie jar?
Is it just me or is there a blue elephant in the room that nobody is talking about?
Reminds me of Dumbo a little bit, without the large ears. He is wearing a orange and green pom pom circus style hat. Very cheerful jar with a big smile. I got him at a yard sale and his neck was taped shut, so he has some tape glue still on his neck. I need to clean this off with orange goo gone cleaner.
Coca Cola dabbled with different bear mascots to promote it’s soda. This is a cookie jar I have from 2000 that has a Momma panda bear proudly holding her new baby and enjoying a fresh bottle of coke next to her side.
This is a Coca Cola brand jar which is stamped “2000 limited edition” it’s name is “Panda Family.” I think this jar is a rare item, because I don’t see too many of these for sale. Mine is in very good condition and I really like this jar. I hope the momma bear waits until her cub is grown before letting her baby drink any coke. The Coca-cola panda must have been a test run after the famous polar bears to see if they could make this bear as popular. This cookie jar has a glossy finish and is in mint condition. I like the paw pad details on the bottom of the momma bears feat and the jar overall has nice fur textures, with the painted blue fur in the black areas.
Coke soda products has used polar bears in it’s ads and they became the rage in 1993 during a series of CGI commercials that started off during the super bowl. This created a marketing sensation that produced plus toys, t-shirts and other collectibles featuring the bears, including cookie jars! This happy smiling polar bear is wearing his red and white striped scarf and holding a refreshing bottle of coca cola. This jar is part of the authorized collection made in 1994 by The Coca-Cola Company.
