This Orange guy is a monkey cookie jar from Target. At least I think he is a monkey, your guess is as good as mine. He was a present from my daughter. He looks like a monkey with a tail and has a funny bit of hair sticking up on his head.
I like his big blue eyes and the little white nose and smile. Also has some blue spots on the body as details. It doesn’t matter what type of animal he is because I like him, he is funny and my daughter got him for me. He says “Target Home” made in china 2009 – hand wash only. But I assume most cookie jars are hand wash only.

I was at Target a few years ago with a friend. We saw this cookie jar in front of us in the cart of the person in front of us. I got out of line, went and grabbed on for myself. I took it to work the next week. It became my department mascot! i work at the county hospital in the Facilities Department (I am the only woman) and I keep my 35 guys stocked in chocolate. The Director of security came by one day and took a picture. Next thing I know… my cookie jar has his very own hospital ID badge: GEORGE, FACILITIES OPERATIONS, TO PROTECT and SERVE!
Then one day George got a nice soft cuddly girlfriend named CoCo. (At that point my boss said he’d better not find more monkeys around the office). So over the last 4 years George, who is our hospital colors, has welcomed visitors, given a sugar boost to those in need and created many a smile. I was even given a yearly budget to “fill George’s tummy”.
I was wandering if they still sell them at target? i am wanting one for my great nephew, he is 7 months old and my neice is doing is bedroom in monkeys
No, this jar was sold back in 2009.
