How to make paper rosettes step by step
Do you love the look of these round accordion folded paper flowers, but are you unsure how to make them. I will show you my step by step tutorial with everything you need! Basic supplies include paper – I prefer patterned scrapbook paper, but you can use anything. A bone folder for perfect creases and some glue stick, tape or stapler to attach ends together. Add stick on letters in about 1 inch size to spell out words and phrases. String, ribbon, yarn, twine, or something to create a chain of paper circles for hanging.
I use a scoring table to quickly fold the paper. It is a time saver if you plan to make a lot of accordion folded paper crafts. Quickly score paper or card stock in 1/8-inch increments up to 12 inches wide. You can also use it to make envelopes, score greeting cards and other paper projects. Most include a bone folder.
What is a bone folder?
Use a Bone Folder to make perfect folds if doing your accordion folding by hand, I would invest in a good bone folder. I have the one from Martha Stewart crafts. Unfortunately, I think this one has been discontinued, it was made of an extra hard plastic that doesn’t wear out as fast as some others I have used. When you are doing paper crafts involving folding, this little device makes all the difference in making crisp clean folds.
