Coca Cola dabbled with different bear mascots to promote it’s soda. This is a cookie jar I have from 2000 that has a Momma panda bear proudly holding her new baby and enjoying a fresh bottle of coke next to her side.
This is a Coca Cola brand jar which is stamped “2000 limited edition” it’s name is “Panda Family.” I think this jar is a rare item, because I don’t see too many of these for sale. Mine is in very good condition and I really like this jar. I hope the momma bear waits until her cub is grown before letting her baby drink any coke. The Coca-cola panda must have been a test run after the famous polar bears to see if they could make this bear as popular. This cookie jar has a glossy finish and is in mint condition. I like the paw pad details on the bottom of the momma bears feat and the jar overall has nice fur textures, with the painted blue fur in the black areas.
Coke soda products has used polar bears in it’s ads and they became the rage in 1993 during a series of CGI commercials that started off during the super bowl. This created a marketing sensation that produced plus toys, t-shirts and other collectibles featuring the bears, including cookie jars! This happy smiling polar bear is wearing his red and white striped scarf and holding a refreshing bottle of coca cola. This jar is part of the authorized collection made in 1994 by The Coca-Cola Company.
