Little Red Riding Hood is a popular folktale that has been retold and adapted numerous times over the centuries. In the most well-known version of the story, Little Red Riding Hood is a young girl who is sent by her mother to deliver food to her sick grandmother who lives in a house in the woods. On the way, Little Red Riding Hood meets a wolf who tricks her into revealing where she is going, and then goes ahead of her to the grandmother’s house. When Little Red Riding Hood arrives, the wolf has already eaten the grandmother and is waiting for her in bed, disguised as the grandmother. Little Red Riding Hood is initially fooled by the wolf’s disguise, but eventually realizes the truth and escapes.

In some versions of the story, Little Red Riding Hood is saved by a huntsman who arrives just in time to rescue her, while in others, she outwits the wolf and escapes on her own. The story is often interpreted as a cautionary tale about the dangers of talking to strangers or straying from the path. It has been popularized in various forms of media, including literature, film, and theater, and is known around the world.
